Legacy Gifts
Many Ways to Leave a Legacy for our Scholars
Planned giving is a wonderful way to support us and be remembered, and there are many advantages:
- You gift costs nothing now.
- You can modify the gift if your life circumstances change.
- You can take care of your family first and designate any amount, large or small, for Ascension Catholic Academy.
- Your memory will live on in your support for rigorous Catholic education in urban areas.
There are Several Ways to Make a Planned Gift
Name Ascension Catholic Academy as a beneficiary of
- Retirement Accounts
- Life Insurance Policies
- Bank or Brokerage Accounts
- Certificates of Deposit
- Donor-Advised Funds
Request a beneficiary form from your bank, insurance company, or your financial planner. Write in Ascension Catholic Academy as beneficiary or partial beneficiary. You will need our tax ID number: 41-0705767. And our business address, 1723 Bryant Ave. N, Minneapolis MN 55411. Return the form to the proper authority, keeping a copy for yourself.
Make a gift in your will
Many people are surprised at how easy it is to make or update a will. Having a will eases the burden for your heirs and makes it much more simple for them to settle your estate.
You can designate a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate as a gift to Ascension Catholic Academy. You can also designate how you want the funds to be used. For example, you may want to provide a scholarship or fund our general operations.
Here is some sample language you can share with your attorney or adviser:
I give [__ percent of my estate or description of asset or ___ dollars] to
the Ascension Catholic Academy, 1723 Bryant Ave. N, Minneapolis, MN 55411
Tax ID number: 41-0705767 for its [unrestricted or specific designation] charitable use and purpose.
Please let us know you have established a legacy gift in any way because we would appreciate the opportunity to thank you and recognize your generosity.
