Ascension Catholic Academy schools will transition to a full-time distance learning platform for all scholars due to the growing number of coronavirus outbreaks. Nov. 20 will mark the last day of class in-person. The leadership team thoughtfully considered all possible scenarios and deemed full-time distance learning for all scholars the best option for our scholars and their families at this time. Our foremost concern is for the health and safety of our scholars and their families.
As much as we would all like our scholars to be in the classroom, the reality is that the Latino and Black communities comprise the majority of the Academy’s population and are among the most at-risk demographics. The decision to protect the wellbeing of all of our Ascension families is best done from a distance-learning platform at this time.
Please continue to keep our scholars and their families in your prayers during this time and throughout the holiday season.
Whether scholars will return to in-class learning after winter break will be determined mid-December.
